Dundee Library Concert Series - July 27, 2006

Well, we all converged on the Dundee village square after a delightful drive through Finger Lakes Country. Abbey, unfortunately, arrived about 2 hours before the rest of us due to a "glitch" in her appointment calendar. We were given a brief tour of the Historical museum, the original school house from the late 1800's. Inspite of the humidity & looming storm, we set up the sound system in the park gazebo and did a sound check. Then it POURED! It DID stop but not until after it soaked the park and it was decided to move the concert into the adjacent Baptist church. What a magnificent venue. After playing for an hour, we took a break and had food & desserts offered by local fundraising vendors, including pulled pork BBQ and wonderful pies. A good time had by all.

Honeoye Falls Festival-On-The-Green

The Boughton Hill Band played at the Gazebo on Saturday, June 17th for about an hour. Thank you Chris for taking pictures. Also, it should be made public that Chris bakes a wickedly, suberb black raspberry pie. BHB's next stop - The Dundee Library on July 27th. Then we play at the Celtic Festival at Olcutt Beach on Sept. 17th.

St. Patrick's Day

We had a busy St. Pat's Day. Abbey, our fiddle player, teaches at Allendale-Columbia School and lined up a noontime concert in the gymnasium for K-5 (I think). Kids did lots of dancing and sing-a-long to our music.

Later, we played from 7-11 pm at the Norton Grille. Lots of people and lots of fun. For both gigs, we were joined by Abbey's brother, John, who assisted in vocals (Danny Boy) and helped Mark with percussion. Thanks John.

Introducing the Boughton Hill Band

The Boughton Hill Band has been together in one form or another since the late 1990's. We were formerly known as the Emerald Seekers until our identity crisis reached a breaking point and we took on our new title about May/June 2005. The picture above was taken in March 2005 following our performance at the St. Patrick's Day celebration at the Four Points Sheraton in downtown Rochester, NY.
